We strive to use advanced dental technology to make your dental experience as efficient, comfortable, and enjoyable as possible. For example, our diagnostic equipment aids us in making quick, accurate diagnoses and helping us effectively plan your treatment. We strive to utilize the latest, most advanced technology available to provide you with the best possible experience and care every time you visit our office. Each of our different types of dental technology has its own benefits, and we invite you to continue browsing our website and contact our orthodontic practice to learn more. We look forward to meeting you soon!
The iTero scanner is an advanced dental technology that allows our orthodontist to view three-dimensional images of the inside of your mouth. iTero technology can capture up to 20 images per second, in full color. These images help us create appliances that fit and function better, and also make it easy to distinguish between healthy and infected tissues in your mouth, allowing us to improve not only your smile, but your overall health. iTero scanners can even simulate your treatment outcome to show you what your smile will look like when your treatment is complete!
When our orthodontist uses the iTero scanner, he will use a small wand to continually scan the inside of your mouth. These images are processed simultaneously, providing a complete and highly accurate image of your mouth almost instantly. The scanning device automatically saves the captured images every 2 seconds, meaning that you will not need to sit through a second scan.
Digital X-rays are one of the advanced diagnostic tools we use to provide you with the best possible care. Digital radiography has changed the way we take dental X-rays by making the process faster, more comfortable, and more convenient than ever before. Digital X-rays use a digital sensor to take images of your teeth, unlike traditional X-rays that use film. Digital X-rays use significantly less radiation than conventional film X-rays, and they require the use of no chemicals for developing the images. Our orthodontist can instantly view the high-quality images and provide you with efficient and accurate diagnoses and care. Our team is able to use digital radiography to identify and diagnose several types of dental problems, such as:
- Decay in between teeth
- Developmental abnormalities
- Improper tooth root positioning
- Cysts and abscesses
- Fractures in existing fillings
- Infection in the tooth nerves
- Bone loss
